Aja Gaines was born and raised in Detroit, MI. Aja graduated from Detroit Cass Technical High School. She currently attends Wayne State University where she’s majoring in journalism. She took interest in writing early on with short stories and articles in middle school.
She also has a strong interest in sports. Aja grew closer to sports photography in high school that gave her range to tell stories in unique ways of which I include in both journalism and photography.
